The women beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s ‘Mazi Ladki Bahin’ scheme will start getting the money for December from Tuesday. The installment for all the beneficiaries will be deposited in their respective bank accounts by December 31.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the money will be transferred through the Women and Child Development Department. The beneficiaries, however, will have to wait for the promised hike in the amount from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100. The present number of beneficiaries is about 2.35 crores. The new applications, about 25 lakh are being scrutinized. The selected women will start getting the benefit after the scrutiny is completed.
