Nagpur: In a remarkable gesture under the “Maharashtra Police Raising Day 2025” celebrations, Nagpur City Police organized a “Seized Property Distribution Ceremony” on January 6 at Police Bhavan, Civil Lines. The event was conceptualized by Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal and saw the return of ₹3 crore worth of seized property to rightful owners.
The program commenced with an introduction by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Abhijit Patil, who highlighted that the event was part of the Raising Day Week initiative. He stated that seized property from 80 cases registered between 2023 and 2024 across various police stations was being returned.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singal emphasized the police department’s commitment to fostering public trust and ensuring justice. He also guided citizens on measures to prevent cybercrimes and acknowledged the police team’s efforts in recovering the stolen goods.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior police officials and citizens, with many expressing gratitude toward the police for their diligence and dedication.
