The Kumbh Mela, a remarkable celebration of spiritual heritage and Indian culture, takes place every 12 years. It began in Prayagraj on January 13 and will run until February 26.
To accommodate the influx of millions of devotees, transportation companies are offering various options. Travel agencies in Nagpur have introduced special services under the banner “Chalo Prayagraj” (Let’s go to Prayagraj).
On Makar Sankranti, January 14, private bus services to the Kumbh Mela will begin. Seventeen buses will depart for Prayagraj on Tuesday between 3 PM and 11 PM, with ticket prices ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 23,000 for both AC and non-AC buses.

On January 14, Indigo Airlines will operate three flights from Nagpur to Prayagraj. The first flight departs at 6:55 AM, and the second and third at 9:35 AM. Although flights are more comfortable and faster compared to buses and trains, their tickets are costly. By Monday afternoon, January 14, airfares ranged between Rs.15,000 and Rs.16,000, and prices may increase with demand.
