The Government of India, through various welfare schemes, provides financial support and essential resources to citizens. One such initiative under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) offers ration at subsidized rates to eligible individuals across all states. Beneficiaries fulfilling the eligibility criteria receive free ration from the government under this program.
However, new guidelines have been issued for ration card holders. According to these rules, only those who complete the mandatory e-KYC process will continue to receive benefits. The deadline to complete the e-KYC is February 15, after which individuals who fail to comply will no longer be eligible to receive ration.
The government introduced the e-KYC process to identify and eliminate fake ration card holders from the scheme. This step aims to ensure that only genuine beneficiaries avail the benefits of the program.
To complete the e-KYC process, individuals are required to visit their nearest food supply center. Beneficiaries are advised to complete the process promptly to avoid disruptions in receiving their ration benefits.
