Kapil Nagar Police have registered a case against three individuals for allegedly defrauding multiple people of ₹56.37 lakh by falsely promising electric bike dealership opportunities and commission-based marketing schemes.
Complainant Sunil Gulabrao Tanodkar (53), a resident of Hingna Road, Nagpur, stated that the prime accused, Yogesh Tebhurnikar, along with Roshan Gondane and company manager Jaywant Gawas, lured him with dealership promises. They collected ₹2.65 lakh but failed to deliver the dealership or return the money.
Investigations revealed that the accused had similarly duped other individuals, including Abhay Navghare from Chandrapur for ₹34 lakh and Digambar Chator from Sadak Arjuni for ₹2.65 lakh. Victims from Tumsar, Bhandara, and Bhopal also reported financial losses.
Based on the complaint, Kapil Nagar Police registered a case under Sections 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Sub-Inspector Dhokne is leading the investigation. Authorities are appealing to other victims to come forward and report the fraud.
