The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Prahar Military School jointly organised a Cleanliness Marathon in Ward 14 of Dharampeth Zone to mark Youth Day. The event aimed to spread awareness about cleanliness and encourage a healthier lifestyle among the citizens of Nagpur.
The 3-kilometer marathon emphasized the need for a clean environment, with active participation from students and local residents.
Students from Prahar Military School, NMC’s Walmiki Nagar Hindi Medium School, Saraswati School, and Tayde College joined the event. The occasion was graced by Prahar Military School’s Vice-Principal, Bhalchandra Kagbhat, and Dharampeth Zone’s Chief Sanitation Officer, Dindayal Tembhankar, along with members of the Municipal Corporation’s IEC team and several students.
The marathon was flagged off by Kagbhat and Tembhankar, who raised the green flag to signal the start. The students showcased remarkable enthusiasm and talent, and the top performers were awarded medals and trophies. The event effectively highlighted the importance of cleanliness and inspired the community to adopt cleaner, greener practices for a better future.
