On Saturday, police in Madhya Pradesh stopped hundreds of vehicles heading toward Prayagraj due to the escalating traffic situation. Authorities in Katni district made public announcements, stating that traffic would remain halted until Monday. Meanwhile, Maihar Police directed vehicles to return to Katni and Jabalpur and wait there.

Several videos circulating on social media showed endless queues of cars and trucks stuck on roads in Katni, Jabalpur, Maihar, and Rewa districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Eyewitnesses reported a 250-km traffic jam from Katni to the MP-UP border at Chakghat in Rewa. Frustrated commuters took to social media, warning others about the situation.
