Nagpur: The prestigious CP Club in Nagpur is once again in the spotlight following an alleged brawl involving a non-member. The incident, which took place on Sunday, February 26, has raised concerns over security and guest policies at the elite club.
According to police sources, club member Jaidev Panchatiya was reportedly assaulted by Yash Panchatiya, a non-member from the same family, within the club premises. The matter was reported to Sadar police station, where an investigation is currently underway.
Following the altercation, a non-cognisable offence was registered at Sadar police station, and preventive action has been taken against the accused, police officials confirmed.
This is not the first instance of violence at CP Club. A few years ago, another altercation involving a guest of a club member led to the suspension of the member’s membership pending inquiry. However, the case remained unresolved as the concerned member tragically passed away before any verdict could be reached.
The latest incident has once again sparked concerns about the club’s security measures and guest policies. The CP Club management and authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
