In a surprising incident, a school teacher in Betul, Madhya Pradesh was caught helping students cheat during an exam by writing answers on the blackboard.
The incident happened on February 25 in Betul district and was captured on video. The footage quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread attention. The teacher, identified as Sangeeta Vishwakarma, was seen solving the Mathematics question paper on the blackboard, making it easy for students to copy.
As soon as the video spread, the district administration took immediate action. Betul Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi ordered an investigation, which confirmed the allegations. As a result, Vishwakarma was suspended.
Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Affairs Department, Shilpa Jain, stated that Vishwakarma was assigned as an exam invigilator but misused her position by helping students cheat. “She has been suspended, and a disciplinary enquiry has started. If more serious charges are found, strict action will follow,” Jain said.
Officials are also considering action against the examination centre head and assistant head. If necessary, an FIR may be registered based on the findings.
Following this incident, the education department has warned all teachers against using unfair means in exams. Authorities have been directed to strengthen monitoring at exam centres to prevent such cases in the future.
