Nagpur Cyber Police have registered a case against two individuals for allegedly attempting to spread fear and dominance through a viral social media post here, on Friday, February 28. The accused, identified as Syed Raja Gaus, a resident of Yasin Plot, Bada Tajbagh, Nagpur, and Gangster Gajanan Marne from Pune, shared a video on Instagram showcasing a convoy of vehicles while referring to themselves as the “King of Nagpur” and “King of Pune.”
The incident came to light when Cyber Police officials, while monitoring social media, discovered the Instagram account raja_gaus_bagdadi_ featuring the video. The content allegedly aimed at instilling fear in society by displaying a show of power.
Following this, a case was registered under Sections 192, 351(2), 353(1)(B) of the BNS, along with Section 66(D) of the Information Technology Act, 2008, based on technical evidence.
Accused Syed Raja Gaus has been served a notice under Section 35(3) of the BNS at the Cyber Police Station, while further investigations are underway under the guidance of senior police officials, including the Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Unit, Nagpur.
