Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari strongly criticized caste-based politics on Sunday, stating that he would “kick hard anyone who talks about caste.” Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Central India Group of Institutions, the senior BJP leader emphasized that no one should face discrimination based on caste, religion, language, or gender.
Gadkari, known for his straightforward remarks, recalled addressing a gathering of 50,000 people, where he reiterated his stance against caste-based politics. He acknowledged that his comments might be seen as politically risky but asserted that he remains committed to his principles. He added that electoral outcomes do not dictate his values, stating, “One does not lose their life if they lose elections.”
The Nagpur MP further emphasized that a person’s true identity is determined by their qualities, not their caste, sect, religion, or language. He urged society to move beyond such divisions and focus on merit and character.
