The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the CA Final exams will now be held three times a year instead of twice. This update was confirmed in an official notice released on Thursday. With this change, all three levels of CA exams—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—will now take place three times annually. The revised schedule provides students with an extra opportunity each year to appear for the CA Final exam.
Last year, ICAI started holding Intermediate and Foundation exams three times a year. Now, this applies to all CA levels, giving equal chances to all candidates. ICAI has also changed the schedule for the Post Qualification Course (PQC) in Information Systems Audit, which was previously held twice a year.
The new exam schedule will now be in February, June, and October.
ICAI President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda highlighted the benefits of this change, stating, “These epoch-making decisions will significantly benefit both students and members, offering them enhanced opportunities for success.” He added that the Council’s decision would ensure “abundant opportunities to excel in their careers.”
