Myanmar Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 694
The death toll from Myanmar’s powerful earthquake has climbed to 694, with at least 1,670 people injured, according to the latest report by Reuters. The country’s ruling military government released the updated figures in an official statement.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed multiple seismic incidents throughout the day, all occurring at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, increasing the likelihood of further aftershocks.
Late Friday night, at 11:56 pm (local time), another 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar. It was recorded at Latitude 22.15 N and Longitude 95.41 E at a depth of 10 km, according to the NCS.
