The Paschim Nagpur Nagarik Sangh is set to organise a grand Ram Navami Shobhayatra in the city on April 6, beginning at 5:30 PM from Shri Ram Mandir, Ram Nagar. The vibrant procession is expected to witness a large turnout of devotees from across the city.
The inaugural rituals of the shobhayatra will be performed by a distinguished group of dignitaries, including Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, State Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and former Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Other prominent personalities attending include former MP Ajay Sancheti, MLAs Dr Parinay Fuke, Vikas Thakre, Pravin Datke, Anil Ashtankar, Ravi Waghmare (President, Paschim Nagpur Nagarik Sangh), Rajeev Kalele, Shivani Dani Wakhare (President, Shobhayatra 2025), Lokesh Astankar (Working President), Dr Parineeta Fuke, and Anand Parchure, among others.
The procession will showcase a series of thematically decorated floats representing revered Hindu deities such as Lord Shiv, Goddess Vaishnodevi, Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, Lord Tirupati Balaji, Goddess Lakshmi, and many others.
Adding to the grandeur, the shobhayatra will also feature a bike rally and a traditional dhol-tasha performance, symbolising the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the city.
The organisers have extended an open invitation to citizens to join the celebration and be part of this vibrant spiritual journey.
