Nagpur: A tragic accident on Gorewada Road claimed the life of a car driver and left two pedestrians injured after a recklessly driven sand-laden truck went out of control near Palloti School on Sunday, April 6.
The deceased has been identified as Zhaoorbhai Hasan. The injured have been identified as Rajkumar Dubey, a local hotel owner, and Sachin Yadav, who was standing nearby at the time of the mishap.
According to police sources, the truck was being driven by Avinash Ramchandra Bhoyar, who reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into Hasan’s car. The impact of the crash was so intense that the truck dragged the car into a nearby paan shop, killing Hasan on the spot and injuring Dubey and Yadav.
The incident caused chaos in the area as a large crowd gathered at the scene. Police later used cranes to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the road.
Bhoyar has been booked under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act and on the charges of culpable homicide. Further investigations are underway.
