Nagpur experienced a marginal relief from the scorching heat on April 8, recording a maximum temperature of 40.8°C, slightly lower than Monday’s 42.2°C. However, the city and the rest of Vidarbha continue to remain in the grip of intense summer conditions.
Akola emerged as the hottest district in the region, touching 44.1°C, followed by Amravati at 43.0°C and Chandrapur at 42.6°C. Washim and Yavatmal also recorded high temperatures at 42.0°C and 41.2°C respectively.
Other temperature readings across Vidarbha include:
- Gadchiroli – 40.8°C
- Wardha – 40.6°C
- Buldana – 40.6°C
- Bhandara – 39.6°C
- Gondia – 39.2°C
Despite a slight dip in Nagpur’s temperature, the region remains under heatwave-like conditions. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours.
