After battling intense heat through the morning and afternoon, Nagpur got an unexpected surprise, rainfall! Around 4 pm, when the city was still burning with hot weather, the sky suddenly turned cloudy, and cool raindrops started falling, bringing instant relief to people across the city.
The sudden spell of rain brought much-needed relief from the continuous summer heat that had been troubling Nagpur for the past few days. Until late afternoon, the weather felt just as hot as the heatwave-like conditions seen across Vidarbha in recent days.
On April 8, Nagpur recorded a maximum temperature of 40.8°C, already slightly lower than Monday’s 42.2°C.
Many citizens welcomed the rain with smiles and shared their joy on social media, calling it a much-needed break from the heat.
Other parts of Vidarbha, including Akola, Amravati, and Chandrapur, have also been experiencing extremely hot weather with temperatures crossing 42°C.
