The Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR) is set to organize its annual ‘Nisarga Anubhava 2025’(Waterhole Census) on May 12, offering nature enthusiasts an opportunity to participate in wildlife monitoring from within the reserve.
Online registration for the event will begin on April 19 at 10 am and will remain open until 10 pm on April 21. Interested individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 can apply by filling out a Google form. Participation is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis, with a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 200.
The initial list of selected participants will be published on April 24, while a waiting list will be released on April 28, subject to seat availability. Each applicant must register individually. Final confirmation of participation will be done only after payment of an additional Rs 2,000 participation fee, which must be submitted by April 27.
Selection and allocation of machans will be done by the NNTR authorities based on participants’ preferences. A signed Indemnity Bond is compulsory for participation, and all decisions taken by the NNTR administration will be considered final.
Participants will receive packed dinner on May 12 and breakfast on May 13. Though attendees may carry their own food and water, disposable plastic bags, bottles, and containers are strictly prohibited inside the reserve.
