The heatwave in Vidarbha is showing no signs of relief, with Nagpur recording the highest temperature in the region today at 44.7°C. The city witnessed intense heat throughout the day, making it the hottest spot in the region.
Close behind were Akola at 44.3°C, Chandrapur and Wardha both at 44.0°C, and Amravati at 43.8°C. Other cities also faced severe temperatures—Brahmpuri recorded 43.6°C, Yavatmal 43.5°C, and Gadchiroli 42.2°C.
Washim touched 41.8°C, Gondia 40.6°C, while Bhandara and Buldana both stood at 40.0°C.
Residents are advised to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and take precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
