A domestic dispute turned deadly in Nagpur’s Pachpaoli area after a man was brutally murdered for confronting his wife’s alleged lover on Sunday night, April 20.
The victim, identified as Shera Suryaprakash Malik, had reportedly warned the accused to end the illicit affair with his wife. Enraged by the confrontation, the accused — Gitesh alias Rajat Kamlesh Ukey — along with his associate Bhojraaj Moreshwar Kumbhare, allegedly attacked Malik with a sharp-edged weapon.
According to police sources, Ukey is a known history-sheeter. On the night of the incident, around 10 pm, the accused confronted Malik, and an argument escalated into violence. Malik sustained severe injuries and collapsed in a pool of blood.
His elder brother rushed him to a nearby hospital, where Malik succumbed to his injuries during treatment around 2 am on Monday, April 21.
Following a complaint by the victim’s brother, Pachpaoli Police apprehended both Ukey and Kumbhare. A case of murder has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.
