Nagpur recorded a scorching 44.2°C today as the heatwave tightened its grip on Vidarbha. The highest temperature was reported in Chandrapur at a blistering 45.8°C, making it the hottest spot in the region.
Akola followed with 44.8°C, while Brahmpuri hit 45.2°C. Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal, and Gadchiroli also experienced severe heat, with temperatures around 44°C.
Even cooler places like Buldana and Gondia weren’t spared as temperatures rose sharply. Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors during peak hours, stay hydrated, and take necessary precautions to beat the heat.
