In a major relief for leaseholders across Nagpur, the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) has launched a special lease renewal camp from April 21 to April 31, 2025, aimed at simplifying the renewal process for thousands of property holders.
The initiative targets citizens whose land leases—over 9,451 of which have already expired—were allotted under old development schemes dating back to 1955 and 1983. The camp is being held at the Suvidha Kendra, NIT’s main office in Sadar, where citizens can complete the process swiftly by submitting key documents.
NIT Chairman Sanjay Meena is personally monitoring the camp, promising a quick, transparent, and citizen-friendly process. “This is a golden opportunity to regularize your property. Don’t miss it,” he urged.
This drive is exclusively for valid leaseholders. Plots that have been canceled or deemed invalid are not eligible.
Amid Nagpur’s rapid urban growth, the move ensures property rights are secured and documentation is up-to-date—crucial for future planning and legal clarity.
