In a significant academic achievement for Nagpur, nine aspirants from the city have successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2024-25, reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a hub of talent and determination.
Among the standout performers is Saurabh Yawale, who secured an All India Rank (AIR) 669 in his first attempt. A 25-year-old Mechanical Engineering graduate from NIT Delhi (2022 batch), Saurabh completed his schooling at Bhavan’s School and later studied at Shivaji College. He is the son of Ramesh Yawale, Additional Family Manager to the Governor, and Madhuri Yawale, Superintendent at Kavikulaguru Kalidas University.

- Rahul Atram
- Bawane Sarvesh Atul
- Savi Balkunde
- Apoorva Balpande
- Namrata Anil Thakre
- Bhagyashree Naikale
The UPSC announced the final results on April 22, 2025, recommending 1,009 candidates for appointment to elite services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Shakti Dubey secured AIR 1, topping this year’s examination.
