Nagpur’s promising swimmer Tanvi Dhurve has been awarded the ‘Udaan Khel Protsahan Yojana’ scholarship by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for her outstanding achievements in water sports. The talented athlete received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 under the scheme.
Tanvi has earned accolades at the national level in water polo and has consistently performed at district, state, and national levels in swimming. She has also showcased her skills in adventure sea swimming events.
She is among 74 athletes from Nagpur selected for the cash incentive scheme, with NMC disbursing a total of Rs 57.89 lakh to support emerging sports talent across the city.
Known for her discipline and commitment, Tanvi trains under coach Roshan Chaudhary and receives strong support from her parents, Sukhdeo and Vaishali Dhurve. She is also guided by sports mentors Sandeep Khobragade, Praveen Lamkhade, and Naina Gokhale.
