Nagpur: As marital disputes continue to rise due to fading trust and growing misunderstandings, the Bharosa Cell of Nagpur Police has emerged as a crucial support system for couples on the verge of separation. Between January and April 2025, the cell successfully resolved 460 cases, helping families get a second chance at rebuilding their lives.
Out of the 697 cases handled during this period, 237 are still under process. A total of 414 cases were referred by city police stations, and 416 couples received structured counseling sessions. The cell also extended legal assistance to 220 individuals, involved protection officers in 26 cases, and took 31 matters to court when needed.
Led by Seema Surve, the Bharosa Cell focuses on preventing family breakdowns by offering emotional support, mediation, and legal guidance. Through patient counseling and a sensitive approach, the team has been instrumental in bringing estranged couples back together.
The work of the Bharosa Cell not only restores harmony in homes but also strengthens the city’s social fabric by promoting peace, trust, and dignity in relationships.
