The unexpected appearance of the wild animal prompted concerns among locals, especially given the area’s proximity to residential neighbourhoods and educational institutions.
This incident adds to a series of leopard sightings in urban areas of Nagpur. In November 2024, a leopard was seen near the Koradi Thermal Power Station colony, leading to panic among residents. Forest officials at the time suspected the animal was sheltering in nearby undergrowth
