Students from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) schools have delivered a stellar performance in the SSC exams held in March 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 90.28%, up from last year’s 87.59%.
Out of 1,029 students who appeared, 929 passed — 74 with distinction and 266 in first class. Notably, girls outperformed boys across most mediums.
Leading the Marathi medium is Shlok Govind Hatwar of Durganagar Secondary School with 94.60%, while Komal Ravindra Bhise of Jayatala School topped the backward class category with 92.80%.
In the Hindi medium, Payal Verma from Sanjaynagar School secured the top spot with 90.60%, while Rukaiyya Parveen from M.A.K. Azad School led the Urdu medium with 86.00%. From the English medium, Arbina Naz Ejaz Ahmed of G.M. Banatwala School scored 85.60% to take the lead.
Special recognition goes to Chhakuli Jadhav, a differently-abled student from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia School, who achieved 80.40%, emerging first in her category.
In a sign of consistent quality, eight NMC schools recorded 100% results, with nine more schools above the 90% mark.
NMC Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, Additional Commissioner Vaishnavi B., and Education Officer Sadhana Sayam congratulated the achievers and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
