Residents in and around Gandhibagh will face a planned power outage on May 14 from 7 AM to 11 AM, as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) undertakes relocation work of a high-voltage power line obstructing an ongoing infrastructure project.
The outage is necessitated by the shifting of the 11 KV Lal Imli power line, which is interfering with the construction of a bridge under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) project. The relocation is essential to ensure that bridge work continues without disruption.
According to a press release from Mahavitaran, the affected areas during the four-hour shutdown will include:
- Daga Hospital and surrounding areas
- Golibar Chowk
- Nandbaji Dob
- Hansapuri Khadan
- Nal Sahab Chowk
- Ganjakhet Chowk
The power distribution company has appealed to citizens for cooperation and understanding, noting that the interruption is part of efforts to support crucial public infrastructure development. MSEDCL also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to power consumers during this period.
