The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for multiple districts across Vidarbha on Wednesday evening. According to the latest forecast, several regions are expected to experience thunder and lightning activity, accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h over the next three to four hours.
Districts likely to be affected include Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Washim, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, and Chandrapur. Light rainfall is also anticipated in isolated pockets, adding to the weather instability in the region.
Authorities have advised residents in these areas to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel during the alert period. The IMD has urged citizens to take necessary precautions to ensure safety amid changing weather conditions.
