In a major crackdown, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Nagpur Crime Branch unearthed a sex racket operating from a residential apartment in Wathoda on Wednesday. A 32-year-old woman has been apprehended, while her husband—also an accused—is currently absconding.
The action was taken based on a confidential tip-off. A team led by PI Omprakash Sonttake raided Flat A on the third floor of Murli Madhav Apartment No. 1, located in Sai Baba Nagar, Kharbi Road, between 4:12 pm and 11:45 pm on Tuesday. The location falls under the jurisdiction of Wathoda Police Station.
During the raid, the prime accused, Nutan Sachin Kalsarpe, was caught facilitating prostitution by exploiting two women for financial gain. Her husband and co-accused, Sachin Manohar Kalsarpe, managed to flee the spot and is currently wanted by police.
