The Honourable Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways – Shri. Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated HDFC Bank’s 50th branch in Nagpur city. The new branch is located at Lokmat Square Nagpur. This branch will further strengthen the Bank’s presence in the region and enable it to serve additional customers.
“This new branch is yet another sign of our commitment to the city, district and the stare. We plan to expand further across Maharashtra so that our banking products and services can be reached even in the deeper geographies of the state,” said Mr. Tarun Chaudhry, Branch Banking Head – Maharashtra said, “The Bank remains committed to offer convenient and easily accessible services to customers” he added.
As on March 31, 2025, HDFC Bank has 180 branches in Vidarbha region. About 58 per cent of these branches are in the semi urban and rural areas. With Bank’s focus on diversity, it has recently opened an all-women’s branch in Nagpur. The Honourbale Union Minister was appraised about these.
The branch expansion is in line with HDFC Bank’s objective to take banking services closer to customers. HDFC Bank began its journey in Nagpur city in the year 2000. HDFC Bank has one of the largest branch networks among all private banks in Nagpur City as well as in Maharashtra. As of March 31, 2025, the Bank’s distribution network in Maharashtra comprised of 1046 branches and 3113 ATMs (including CDMs) across 36 districts and 358 Tehsils. HDFC Bank’s overall distribution network across the country was at 9,455 branches and 21,139 ATMs across 4,150 cities / towns on March 31, 2025 as against 8,738 branches and 20,938 ATMs across 4,065 cities / towns as of March 31, 2024
