Residents of Vidarbha will soon experience the fascinating astronomical event known as Zero Shadow Day. During this phenomenon, vertical objects like poles, sticks, or even a standing person will cast no shadow at solar noon — around 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
Zero Shadow Day occurs when the Sun is exactly overhead, and the Earth’s tilt aligns perfectly to eliminate vertical shadows. This event offers a unique learning opportunity for students, astronomy enthusiasts, and the general public to witness the Earth-Sun alignment in real-time.
