Nagpur is all set to witness a massive turnout of cycling enthusiasts as more than 1,000 participants from Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, and Chandrapur gear up for the World Bicycle Day Rally on June 1. The event will commence at 6:00 AM from St. Ursula High School ground.
Registered participants will receive a premium dri-fit T-shirt, a sipper bottle, and a goodie bag as part of the rally kit. This year’s rally is officially recognized under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “NaMo Fit India Cycling Club” initiative.
Dr. Amit Samarth, an internationally acclaimed cyclist and the Bicycle Mayor of Nagpur, will serve as the Rally Director.
The rally aims to promote cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation and an effective way to enhance personal fitness while contributing to improved air quality in the city. Adding a festive flair to the event, a Fancy Dress competition will be held, blending fitness with cultural expression.
The route will begin and end at St. Ursula High School, covering key city landmarks. Cyclists will ride past VCA Ground Square, the Nagpur Metro Office, Tirpude College, Japanese Garden Square, Seminary Hills, Center Point School, TV Tower, Vayusena Nagar Square, Futala Lake, Telangkhedi Mandir, and CP Club, before heading through Ladies Club Square, GPO Square, and Akashwani Square on the way back.
