The Wild Agile Foundation conducted a special Nature Walk at Seminary Hills, Nagpur, aimed at fostering environmental awareness and love for wildlife among children. The event, held on Sunday morning, saw enthusiastic participation from children aged 4 to 15 along with their parents.
The walk took place in the dense forest area of Seminary Hills near Civil Lines. Prafull Deshmukh, founder of the Wild Agile Foundation, guided the young participants through the forest, teaching them how to observe various animals and birds, recognize different tree species, and understand the importance of forest cleanliness and environmental conservation.
Children experienced valuable lessons on discipline and coexistence in the wild, while also enjoying a picnic in the midst of nature. A special session was conducted by Kundan Hate, member of the Maharashtra Wildlife Board and an animal conservation expert, who educated the children about the importance of wildlife and the steps needed to protect endangered species. He also shared his experiences in animal rescue, instilling compassion and responsibility towards animals among the youngsters.
The initiative aimed to plant the seeds of environmental responsibility in children from a young age. Parents and children alike appreciated the experience and expressed hope that similar events will be held regularly in the future.
