The Indian Postal Department has launched DigiPIN, a 10-digit digital address system to replace traditional PIN codes. Unlike the old PIN system that covered broad areas, DigiPIN points to the exact location of your home or business.
With this, deliveries and emergency services like ambulances or fire departments can reach precise spots — even in rural or remote areas. It also helps e-commerce deliveries become more accurate.
To get your DigiPIN, visit https://dac.indiapost.gov.in/mydigipin/home.
Just click your location on the map, and you’ll receive your unique 10-digit code, accurate within a 4-meter radius. Developed by India Post in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad, NRSC, and ISRO, DigiPIN can also be used offline.
