Nagpur: A horrific domestic violence incident in Nagpur district has left the town of Saoner stunned after a 25-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother to death late Friday night. The accused, identified as Mukesh Maraskolhe, was arrested within four hours of committing the crime, police said on Saturday.
The victim, Pramila Maraskolhe, aged 49, was reportedly killed during a heated argument at their residence in Saoner. According to police sources, the situation escalated quickly, leading Mukesh to fatally attack his mother with a sharp weapon.
Local police launched an immediate manhunt following the crime and successfully apprehended the accused before dawn. He was later produced before a magistrate and has been remanded to police custody till June 9 for further interrogation.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and sorrow in the quiet town of Saoner. Residents have expressed deep shock over the tragedy, which has drawn attention to the rising concerns around mental health and domestic conflicts.
