Pachmarhi: The scenic hill station of Pachmarhi will host the seventh edition of the Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon on July 13, organized by Adventures and You in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.
Race Director Mitesh Rambhia, speaking at a press conference, announced that the marathon will feature participants from across India, along with several international athletes. Due to limited accommodation facilities in the town, organizers have capped the number of participants at 1,500. Of these, over 400 runners are expected to come from Nagpur.
The event includes multiple race categories:
5 km: Divided into age groups 5–11, 11–19, 19–31, 31–46, 46–61, and 61+
10 km: For ages 15–31, 31–46, 46–61, and 61+
21 km (half marathon): For ages 18–31, 31–46, 46–61, and 61+
42 km (full marathon): Divided into two groups – 18–41 and 41+
All categories are open to both male and female participants.
Rambhia also shared that the marathon is now officially certified by World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), adding credibility to its course standards.
Registration is open online at Townscript and will close either on June 20 or once the entry limit of 1,500 participants is reached.
