Nagpur: A seven-year-old boy tragically drowned while playing at the Fun and Food Village water park near Bazargaon on Wednesday, June 11. The incident occurred during a family picnic and falls under the jurisdiction of Kondhali Police Station, located along the Nagpur-Amravati National Highway.
The victim has been identified as Naitik Amit Deshmukh, a resident of Manish Nagar, Nagpur. He had visited the water park with his father Amit Prakash Deshmukh, uncle Swapnil Prakash Deshmukh, mother, aunt, and elder brother Monit.
As per initial reports, Naitik accidentally slipped and fell into the water while playing in the park. He lost consciousness in the pool, prompting his family members to rush him to a private hospital in Wadi. Unfortunately, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.
The following day, on Thursday, June 12, Swapnil Deshmukh approached Kondhali Police Station and lodged a complaint. Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
