In a covert late-night crackdown, the Nagpur Rural Police unearthed a rave party underway at the Tiger Eco Resort in Temburdoh village, located in Saoner tehsil, around midnight on Wednesday, June 11. The raid led to the detention of 19 individuals, including 9 women eight of whom were dancers and 10 men.
Among those apprehended was the resort’s owner, Vishal Madhukar Ingole (39), along with Amit Shantaram Apreja, Sanjay Anandrao Thapolkar, Sachin Sahebrao Patil, Manish Kailas Deshmukh, Nitin Ramesh Kokarde, Dilip Dharma Shahu (34), Vinod Lahanhuji Mohje, and Kisan Maniram Yasne, all residents of Nagpur.
The operation was initiated following a tip-off and was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Anil Maske. However, the role of the Khapa Police Station, officially listed as responsible for the area, has come under scrutiny. Sources claim that the raid was executed without proper entry in the station diary, and PI Vishal Giri and his team were not actively involved — raising questions about procedural transparency.
The accused have been booked under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act — Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 — along with relevant charges under the POCSO Act and Section 143 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It has also been alleged that the women were transported to the location in private vehicles.
Four individuals — Ingole, Apreja, Thapolkar, and Patil — have been formally arrested. The remaining detainees were released after being served notices.
