A Kochi to Delhi flight was compelled to make an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur on Tuesday following a bomb threat.
The threat, reportedly received mid-flight, alerted authorities to the possible presence of an explosive device onboard. In response, the flight was immediately diverted to Nagpur, where it landed safely.
Upon landing, all passengers were safely deboarded, and the aircraft was moved to an isolated bay for security checks. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) along with CISF personnel reached the scene and launched a comprehensive search operation.
Police and airport security remain on high alert as investigations continue to trace the origin of the threat. No suspicious object has been found so far, and further updates are awaited.
