The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in collaboration with the district administration and the Ministry of Culture, is all set to host the 10th International Yoga Day on June 21. The grand event will be held at Yeshwant Stadium in Dhantoli, beginning at 6 a.m.
This year’s celebrations will be held under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, aiming to highlight yoga’s role in fostering physical and mental well-being while promoting global harmony.
The event will be graced by prominent leaders, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, State Revenue Minister and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and State Minister Adv Ashish Jaiswal.
Other key dignitaries expected to attend include Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, RTMNU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madhavi Khode-Chaware, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, and Smart City CEO Saumya Sharma Chandak, among others.
A strong contingent of institutional and voluntary participation is also expected, with organisations such as Government Ayurved College (Sakkardara), Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Y K Group of Institutes, and Datta Meghe Ayurvedic College, Hingna, lending their support.
The NMC has urged citizens to join the event in large numbers and embrace yoga as a way to lead healthier, more balanced lives.
