Valuables Worth ₹5.81 Lakh Stolen in Daylight Break-ins
In two separate incidents of daylight burglaries under the jurisdiction of Mankapur Police Station on June 18, burglars broke into locked flats in Skyline Vista and Gokul Apartment, escaping with cash and jewellery worth a total of ₹5.81 lakh.
In the first case, complainant Ashish Narmada Sharma (40), a resident of Flat No. 301, Skyline Vista, Jaydurga Nagar, had locked his house and gone to work with his wife. His father, who had also stepped out during that time, returned to find the main door lock and latch broken. Upon inspection, it was discovered that burglars had looted ₹12,000 in cash and gold-silver ornaments worth ₹3.40 lakh from a bedroom cupboard.
In the second case, Sharad Satyamurti Nair (48), a resident of Flat No. 301, Gokul Apartment, Gayatri Nagar, also returned home to find his main door broken. An estimated ₹70,000 in cash and jewellery worth ₹2.41 lakh were found stolen from his cupboard.
Based on complaints filed by both victims, Mankapur Police registered an FIR under BNS Sections 305(A) and 331(3) against unidentified burglars.
