Nagpur is set to witness a massive show of strength, wellness, and unity as the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the District Administration and the Ministry of Culture (Government of India), hosts a grand celebration for International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025, at Yashwant Stadium, Dhantoli, starting sharply at 6:00 AM.
Held under the dynamic theme “One Earth, One Health Yoga”, this mega event is backed by the Ministry of AYUSH and promises to be one of the city’s largest public gatherings post-pandemic.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the programme, while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will lead as chairman. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will be the chief guest, alongside a power-packed lineup of MPs, MLAs, state ministers, and senior AYUSH officials including Joint Secretary Dr. Manoj Nesari.
Organizers have pulled out all stops: massive LED screens, expert-led yoga sessions, and full logistical support are being arranged to ensure smooth participation of thousands.
Open to all, the event is a call to action for Nagpurians to embrace yoga not just for a day, but for life. Authorities have urged citizens to arrive early and turn out in large numbers to make this a record-breaking event.
The entire programme will be broadcast live on television and digital platforms—projecting Nagpur as a rising hub of wellness and culture in Maharashtra.
This isn’t just another government event—this is a movement.
