Nagpur: Chinmaya Mission Nagpur, inspired by the vision of Param Pujya Swami Chinmayananda, is set to take its long-running Chinmaya Bhagavad Gita Chanting Competition to the national stage for the first time this year. The annual event, which has been conducted locally for over two decades, aims to promote accurate chanting, memory enhancement, and the inculcation of Indian philosophical values among the youth.
The 2025 edition of the competition will focus on Chapter 15 – Purushottam Yog of the Bhagavad Gita. Preliminary rounds are scheduled for September 13 and 14, while the finals will take place on September 27 and 28.
The contest will cater to students across various age groups, from nursery to Class XII, with each group assigned a specific number of shlokas to chant. To support participants, audio guidance by experts will be provided to ensure correct pronunciation, rhythm, and fluency.
Organisers have urged schools and parents to encourage wide participation to help preserve and spread India’s spiritual heritage. Online registration is mandatory and must be completed by July 31.
For further details and assistance, interested participants can reach out to Priyanka Patrikar, Bhavana Khapekar, or Chetna Singhal.
