Nagpur: In a move aimed at improving grassroots governance, District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar on Tuesday announced that the third and fourth Wednesday of every month will be observed as ‘Samadhan Divas’ (Resolution Day) across all villages in the district. The initiative is intended to ensure the effective implementation of government schemes and prompt redressal of public grievances.
Dr Itankar made the announcement while addressing a workshop for circle officers and Talathis at Niyojan Bhavan. “Talathis and Gramsevaks serve as the face of the government in rural areas. Samadhan Divas will provide a structured platform for citizens to voice their concerns and seek timely resolutions,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to promote transparency in agricultural support, the Collector referred to the AgriStack scheme as crucial for ensuring timely crop loan disbursement to farmers.
Additional Collector Pravin Mahire, Resident Deputy Collector Anup Khande, and other senior officials from the Zilla Parishad and revenue departments also attended the workshop.
Dr Itankar emphasized that officials must take their responsibilities seriously and assured that a circular mandating the presence of Talathis and Gramsevaks in villages during Samadhan Divas would be issued shortly.
