Fans of the hit village comedy-drama Panchayat can look forward to another season, as plans for Season 5 are already underway. The upcoming chapter is likely to arrive sometime around mid-2026, bringing back the familiar setting of Phulera.
Production Gathers Momentum
Sanvikaa, who portrays Rinki in the series, recently hinted at the show’s progress during a conversation with OTT Play. She shared that the release might happen “by mid-next year or sometime next year.” While filming hasn’t commenced yet, writer Chandan Kumar confirmed that scripting and creative development are in full swing. Shooting is likely to begin by late 2025 or early 2026.
Original Cast Expected to Return
Season 5 will likely see the return of the core ensemble cast that has made the show a fan favorite. Jitendra Kumar will reprise his role as Abhishek Tripathi, with Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav as Pradhan Ji, Faisal Malik as Prahlad, Chandan Roy as Vikas, Tripti Sah as Khushboo, and Sanvikaa as Rinki.
What Could Happen in the Next Season?
Following the politically charged conclusion of Season 4, the next installment promises to continue exploring the village’s everyday life with a deeper emotional and political layer.
Some likely developments include:
Abhishek’s Crossroads – Will he leave for Delhi to chase his CAT ambitions, or stay in Phulera for Rinki and the life he’s built?
Pradhan Ji’s Return to Power – A potential storyline might revolve around his political resurgence.
Budding Romances – Love stories, especially between Abhishek-Rinki and Vikas-Khushboo, could see further evolution.
A Blend of Simplicity and Substance
As excitement builds, Panchayat Season 5 is expected to deliver the perfect mix of light-hearted humor, grounded storytelling, and heartfelt moments, capturing the true spirit of rural India once again.
