Butibori police have arrested a 19-year-old youth, identified as Nishad Aurangzeb Khan, for allegedly exposing himself to women during morning walks in the Butibori area of Nagpur. The incidents reportedly occurred on July 2 and July 4 near the Datta Meghe Recreation Centre, where the accused is said to have targeted women out for their early morning exercise.
According a media report, on July 2, around 6:30 a.m., two women reported that a young man riding a motorcycle had exposed himself in a nearby lane. The same act was repeated by the suspect on July 4, prompting the victims to approach the Butibori police. Acting promptly, the police examined photos shared by the women and reviewed CCTV footage from Mahavir Kirana. This led them to identify the accused as Nishad Aurangzeb Khan, a resident of Satgaon, Turkamari.
Acting on a tip-off from undercover sources, police arrested the accused on Friday. He has been charged with committing obscene acts and insulting the modesty of women. The investigation is still underway. The quick response by Butibori police has earned appreciation from the community, bringing back a sense of safety for early morning walkers in the area.
