Gati workers engaged in the business of repairing leather goods and footwear are currently operating on roadsides, often exposed to harsh summer heat and rains. To protect them from extreme weather conditions and to help improve their financial situation, a scheme is being implemented to provide them with paper stalls under 100 percent government subsidy. The Social Welfare Department has appealed to eligible individuals to apply for this scheme.
Documents to be attached with the application:
- Caste certificate of the applicant issued by an authorized officer.
- Income certificate for the current year issued by an authorized officer (Tehsildar).
- School leaving certificate.
- Xerox copy of ration card.
- Xerox copy of Aadhaar card.
- Copy of the lease agreement or attested copy of the purchase agreement indicating that the land where the applicant seeks to install the stall is rented, purchased, or owned by the Gram Panchayat, Municipal Corporation, Metropolitan Municipality, or Cantonment Board.
- Xerox copy of the applicant’s Aadhaar-linked nationalized bank passbook.
