In a surprising incident, three young women were caught on CCTV stealing a moped from the DMart parking area in Nandanvan, Nagpur. The theft has sparked concern and led to a police investigation.
According to the complaint, Veena Rajgire had visited the DMart store in Shrikrishna Nagar around noon on her Suzuki Access moped. She parked it in the designated area and went inside to shop. When she returned after a short while, her moped had vanished.
After briefly searching the nearby area, Veena Rajgire went to the Nandanvan Police Station to lodge a formal complaint. Police officers checked the CCTV footage from the DMart premises and found clear visuals of three young women arriving on a different moped. In just a few seconds, one of them unlocked Veena’s moped and rode away, while the other two followed her on their vehicle. The trio quickly fled the scene, prompting further investigation by the police.
Based on the CCTV footage, Nandanvan police have begun a search to identify and track down the three suspects. Efforts are underway to trace their movements and recover the stolen moped.
Police have also appealed to the public for help. Anyone who saw the incident or has any information about the suspects is urged to contact the nearest police station.
This incident also brings attention to a troubling trend — while women are progressing in many areas of society, there is also a noticeable rise in their involvement in criminal activities.
