The Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur, celebrated its 58th Foundation Day on Friday with enthusiasm and a renewed commitment to social service. As part of the celebration, a blood donation camp was organised by the NSS Unit in memory of Dr. Husein Hafeezi.
The camp was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Dean Dr. Mangesh Fadnaik, along with Dr. Vandana Gadwe (NSS In-charge), Dr. Pratik Chide (GMC Blood Bank In-charge), and Dr. Priya Shanmukha. The event was attended by faculty members, students, and NSS volunteers.
The proceedings were conducted by NSS volunteer Faika Firdaus, while Ankur Yadav proposed the vote of thanks. The event saw active participation from faculty and students, contributing to the camp’s success.
Special efforts were made by Dr. Pallavi Sonpimpale, Dr. Akshay Dhoble, Dr. Shubha Hegde, Dr. Sachin Khatri, Dr. Priya Shanmukha, and all NSS volunteers to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
The initiative reinforced the institution’s dedication to community service and highlighted the spirit of giving back to society.
